Feast for the god Pāntu in Nohara
In Uenos hamlet Nobaru  Pāntu is celebrated on the last day of the ox in December on the chinese moon calendar and is also called Satiparai by locals, which means `village exorcism`. At Pāntu the actors, men and women, dress to represent the god. Women dress with palm-leaves and other foilage and carry palm twigs in their hands. A man wears the Pāntu-mask, while the others beat small drums and sound seashell horns. After an evening prayer they walk through the streets of the hamlet and scare bad spirits away.
