Banks, post office & money

The following banks can be found in Miyako:
Okinawa Kaihō Ginkō, Okinawa Ginkō, Ryūkyū Ginkō as well as the Okinawa-ken Nōgyō Kyōdōkumiai (JA Bank).
Some shops accept VISA and other credit cards. Please notice that cash dispensers are not in service for 24 hours a day. Most ATMs correspond to the business hours of  its home institute, e.g. the post office or the bank it belongs to. They are closed on sundays and national hollidays.

Post office

The biggest post office on the island is to be found at the intersection of the Bunkyōdōri (Bunkyō-Street) und Road 243 in Hirara.

Telephone

You can buy international calling cards (kokusaiyo denwakado) in covinience stores. With these cards you can make internationall call at reduced prices.   

Gas stations

Gas stations in Miyako open at about 7am and close at about 9pm. Business hours may change depending on the company.
