At
the moment the only way to travel to Miyakojima is by airplane.
There are direct flights available from Tokyo, Osaka, Naha and Ishigaki.Prices may vary strongly depending on the season you are travelling. Single flights which are booked up to two months in advance may offer a discount of to 50% of a standard flight. There are discounts for seniors available as well. In combination with a stay at a hotel for at least one night there are special offers available too (hoteru pakku) which might be cheaper than a flight only.
For further information about flights from other parts of the country via Osaka, Tokyo or Naha contact your local travel agency or the Japanese airlines JAL or ANA.
There is also the possibilty to get to Miyakojima from Taiwan via Ishigaki. For further Information please ask your local travel agency.
